Sarah Churchill (January 13, 1958; actual size approx. 7.6 x 5.9 in. (19.3 x 15.0 cm.)). Sarah Churchill (1914-1982), British film and stage actress and dancer, was the second daughter of future Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a descendant of Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough in the 17th and 18th centuries. But in the '50s she developed a drinking problem, and was arrested several times and charged with public drunkenness. Here she is shown being taken into custody in Los Angeles in January 1958. Press photographers from miles around must have raced to capture this spectacle; luckily, my dad was one of those who succeeded, as was his LAPPA cohort and good friend, Bob Martin.
