There's nothing particularly new about press photographers getting punched by unwitting subjects; it's been going on for decades. (For that matter, pages 40 and 41 of the 1958 Annual contain a spread of photos by Bob Martin and Nelson Tiffany, showing actor Tony Franciosa being remanded to police custody after slugging a photog and some deputies besides. In those photos Franciosa appears to be getting not a great deal of sympathy from his wife, actress Shelley Winters.) For this image, a noise and blur filter was used to attenuate the dot matrix.
